This website is a place for me to share my love of photography.  I have been taking photographs most of my life. I started out interested in sports photography and photojournalism. I worked on my college newspaper and for two years I worked for a small weekly newspaper on a part time basis photographing the local high school sports teams. Over time, I have developed more of an interest in nature and scenic photography.

I like to find interesting and beautiful photos without traveling all over the world. The vast majority of my photos are taken on day trips or right in my own neighborhood which is why I call my site Home Town Safari. While I concentrate on taking pictures close to home, I do have photos from more far away locations.

I like to photograph the beauty of nature just as I find it so you won't find a lot of editing in my pictures. I will correct exposure and color and eliminate a really distracting element in my images, but other than that, my photos reflect what I saw at the time I took the picture.

I invite you to view some of my photos on the Gallery pages at the links above. Please come back often as I add and change the pictures on my site. On the 'Where to Find  Me' page, you will find a list of Craft Shows where I will be selling matted prints, photo notecards and calendars. If you like the photos on my web site, I invite you to come to one of the shows to see my work in person.
